- To represent the best interests of members in the exhibition and convention industries by providing a unified voice in dealing with the government, legislative and statutory bodies, media and any public organisations;
- To raise levels of professionalism and operational standards in the industry through well-planned training and educational programmes.
- To act as an advisory body to its members and by working closely with all relevant organisations, promote the well-being and good standing of the industry and promote Hong Kong as the major international exhibition and convention capital in the region and the world.
- To enhance communication amongst members from different sectors of the industry and to facilitate collection and dissemination of industry information and statistics for the benefits of members and their businesses.
